On the Roys’ grand Mediterranean yacht, Logan weighs whether a member of the family or a top lieutenant will need to be sacrificed to salvage the company’s tarnished reputation. Roman shares his hesitations about a new source of financing, as Kendall suggests a familiar alternative. Shiv proposes taking her open-marriage with Tom to another level. Connor finds himself in an unenviable position as reviews of Willa’s play roll in.
Gregory is in the courtroom before Congress testifying about his position of working at Waystar Royco. He is notably very nervous answering questions while talking to Gil Eavis. It appears he is one of the last members to testify, as everyone else is on their way to celebrate with a quick holiday on the family use extravagant yacht. Logan is on his way in the back of the car beside Hugo. He is debating who to use as a blood sacrifice and has a number of names circled, even seemingly adding himself to the list. When asked, Hugo even suggests Karolina Novotney. Logon is interrupted by a call from Phillipe Layton, and is inconvenient to receive bad news.
Connor and Willa arrive on the yacht first, but they're still discussing her play, deciding to ignore all reviews for the next week or so, both nervous on what people will think. Though Connor seems to be aware that he is losing money off of her pet project. The couple bicker about it a little during the trip. They are met by Shiv and Tom who immediately make their way to their room. Outside, Gregory arrives at the same time as Ken and his girlfriend, Naomi Pierce. Greg is surprised when he finds out that there are no shoes allowed on the yacht. He is embarrassed to reveal he has a foot fungus and is not prepared to take his shoes off. Luckily they have someone on board who is able to take care of it.
Shiv informs her husband she has made plans for them to have three-some with one of the female employees on the yacht. Tom isn't overly excited, and when the night eventually arrives, he ends up declining. Then bringing up how he never wanted an open marriage and a piece of him is angry at her for bringing it up to him on their wedding night. Trying to make things up to him, they travel around from island to island looking for a special place to make love. Tom is very picky and when they do settle on one, they end up getting into an argument. Tom confesses he's unhappy with her and their relationship.
Not long after they've cast off Roman arrives along with Karl and Jamie Laird. everyone greets him in a lighthearted joking manner, but he has been changed by his experience and is not in a laughing mood. The Roy siblings and Tom are able to get in some alone time in a sunbathing chit-chat. After Logan arrived by helicopter, he immediately calls all three of the hostage survivors inside to discuss what business deals they made in Turkey. Despite what Laird thinks, Roman insists that Laird was being shady and that they have no deal. Laird is upset when he is called out by Roman, as well as when no one will take his advice and decides to depart from the trip early as Logan and Ken watch. Siobhan and Roman have a conversation while they watch everyone else swimming in the ocean. Tom swims up to Greg who is sunbathing and drinking champagne, as he makes fun of him for now having a favorite champagn, due to being more involved in the rich life. Meanwhile, Connor comes to his father to ask for more money to help Willow‘s play stay afloat. Something he'd been trying to ask his father about for a while, but his dad kept avoiding the question. The two of them are able to talk, Logan agrees to give him a couple million dollars, provided he drops his campaign to become president. Connor reluctantly agrees.
Everyone is again relaxing around the yacht, plus Logan tells him to enjoy themselves and be ready for dinner soon. Everyone is slightly on edge at his odd comment. Frank Connor and Willow all begin to question what he means. Knowing there is a scapegoat, Roman begin stirring the pot. Telling Gerri, he thinks Frank will be the one to go, within earshot of Frank. Logan is surprised when Ken insists Naomi stay. He promises she understands the business going on, and won't be around for any of it. Logan confesses he didn't realize things were so serious between the two, and they both briefly talk of marriage between them. However not long after she leaves to go somewhere else asking Ken to come with her. He declines and watches her leave alone.
The next day at breakfast Logan finally announces that someone needs to go and they need a blood sacrifice to give to the wolves. He doesn't say who, but asks for ideas on what to do, promising whoever did volunteer would be taken care of. Everyone tippy-toes about giving up another's name after theirs has been called. Someone suggests Gerri, then Logan confirms no one has ever been more enjoyable than her. Tom's name is brought up, and Shiv kind of agrees much to his surprise. Everyone begins to slowly talk more and more poorly about each other, and soon Connor sacrifices himself, volunteering to do prison time for his father. Logan thanks him, but confirms he isn't a big enough fish. Before a real argument starts, Logan breaks it up. Telling everyone it's enough conversation for now.
Ken tells his dad if they need help, Stewy's in Greece, but he declines. Later Logan final asks Ken to get in contact with Stewy Hosseini. They take a boat to meet him, but Stewy shuts them both down. On the drive back, Ken is steering the boat while Logan sleeps in the back.
Shiv finds her dad & the two have a quiet conversation in his room. She brings up Tom and if he will be thrown to the sharks, Logan says he is not after him. She also asks why she wasn't good enough, but Logan doesn't really give her a solid answer. The two makeup and Logan apologizes for not having more faith in her.
Logan finds Ken working out, and interrupts his cardio to have conversation. Doesn't take long before he broaches the reason he's there and asks Ken to take the fall. Calmly as ever, asking his son to go to jail for the cruise line scandals. Ken ultimately agrees suggesting it will atone for the car accident, Logan tells him to forget about the accident as it was No Real Person Involved (the same description used to describe the victims at Cruises). Before Ken goes, he asked his father if he ever was going to make him CEO, and if he ever thought he was good enough to run the company. Logan admits he didn't have much faith in him as he lacked the killer instinct required for business.
That night at dinner everyone's gathered around and Logan announces that Ken will be the one taking the fall and going to prison. Everyone is shocked and surprised, but Ken tells everyone not to worry and that they should all just enjoy themselves for him. The rest of the dinner remains very quiet, Siobhan, Tom and Gregory seem to be the most emotionally affected.
The next morning Greg and Ken fly back to New York to announce that he will be falling on the sword. When they land, he is immediately met with Jess Jordan and Karolina Novotney. Logan and Shiv are together watching Ken on TV. Ken looks over the crowd and immediately goes off script telling the gathered reporters that his dad was a full accomplice in the cover ups and knew exactly what was going on the entire time as he was metaphorically signing the checks inciting panic in Karolina. Ken states that he has the financial documentation that will prove his father knew, and the camera cuts to Greg holding a Manila envelope, presumably the documents he saved from the fire by stuffing them down his pants. Ken then rips up his speech and leaves, followed by Jess. Logan and Shiv on the yacht, who have now been joined by Roman who was watching on his phone, are left in dead silence however Logans frown slowly turns into a smile of pride.

- Connor Roy offered to take the fall as Logan had said the person who took the fall would be well looked after, however no-one at the dinner considered him a credible patsy.
'Logan Roy: Greg Hirsch: Roman Roy: Frank Vernon: Tom Wamsgans: Connor Roy: Gerri Killman: Shiv Roy: Kendall Roy:
Logan Roy: So, what do you think?
Hugo Baker" Me? If you added Karolina that's a decent bundle of leadership meat to feed the sharks.
Logan Roy: Slippery cunt. Knife your boss? You're a nasty bastard, aren't you?
Hugo Baker" Hey, you asked, Logan.
Kendall Roy: Could be anybody. I mean, why is Greg here?
Roman Roy: I always ask that question.
(Connor asking his dad to plant fake reviews)
Connor Roy: The Chronicle or The Herald, just, uh could you lean a little bit? You know, something like Not this, but something like, "Kill for a ticket", or "The theatrical event of the season".
Logan Roy: I do not like to lean on my people.
Connor Roy: Oh, come on. I mean, you brought down a Canadian government over grain subsidies, you can't give me - one fucking lousy review?
Logan Roy: I hear you jizzed 500K on a fake Napoleon dick.
Connor Roy: That's irrelevant.
Connor Roy: Look, Pa, I'm I'm actually hurtin' here. It's a half a mil a week. I've got Austerlitz, I've got my campaign, and I'm not super liquid, so I'm just I'm just wondering if I could hit you for like like, uh a little 100 mil.
Logan Roy: A little 100 mil?
Connor Roy: Yeah.
Kendall Roy: Roman, we're real people.
Roman Roy: You are not.
(On who should take the fall & go to prision)
Karl: We're all loyal servants, but, so, I, I only say without malice aforethought, presumably general counsel is center of the web. Sorry, Gerri. I like you.
Logan Roy: There is no one more loyal than Gerri.
Karl: What about Frank? I mean, how come Frank is even here today?
Frank Vernon: Thank you.
Karl: You're welcome.
Frank Vernon: In which case I guess, in a certain way, my my indiscretion against the family, I would say objectively, makes me less of a compelling sacrifice, is the only thing I would say. Unlike uh for instance a loyal servant like Karl.
Karl: Uh-huh. Uh I - Thank you, Frank, for that.
Frank Vernon: Mm-hm.
Kendall Roy: You know, Gerri is theoretically kind of perfect.
Karl: Hear, hear.
Roman Roy: Uh No, "theoretically". No, that's bullshit.
Logan Roy: Why?
Roman Roy: Why do I disagree? Because that's my opinion.
Logan Roy: Yeah, but your reasoning?
Roman Roy: Seriously, Gerri? To pay for cruises? We We take out a senior woman? Haven't we, you know, kidding here, killed enough women already? I mean, I think the obvious choice is, and I hate to say it because he's such a swell guy, is... Tom!
Tom Wamsgans: Excuse me?!
Shiv Roy: I'm not saying that it should be. mean, I, I'm saying, you're like family, which is good, but also not family, which is kinda good.
Roman Roy: Tom, it's the elephant in the room, we can say that.
Tom Wamsgans: No, we can't. There's no need to say the elephant in the room. There are 15 other elephants in the room.
Shiv Roy: Tom, the testimony, you, you kind of put a target on yourself.
Roman Roy: What about both of them? Shiv and Tom. Beauty and the beast.
Shiv Roy: Does Tom work?
Kendall Roy: Honestly, Tom I don't think he's a big enough skull. No offense.
Roman Roy: Then how about Tom with some fucking Greg sprinkles?
Greg Hirsch: What? Greg sprinkles?
Roman Roy: Yeah, just a party pack.
Stewy Hossein: No, I don't think that works.
Kendall Roy: The fuck do you mean? - Bullshit.
Logan Roy: Are you fucking stupid? You have to consider that. You have to ask Sandy. That is a good fucking deal.
Stewy Hossein: It does not work for us, sir.
Tom Wamsgans: I just I think, you know, I think a lot of time, if I think about it, I think a lot of time, I'm really pretty unhappy.
Shiv Roy: What are you saying?
Tom Wamsgans: I don't know. I love you, I do. I just, uh, I wonder if, I wonder if the sad I'd be without you, would be less than the sad I get from being with you.
Shiv Roy: Well, I'm s I'm I'm sorry, Tom.
Logan Roy: You okay, Tom? (Tom eat's his chicken) What the fuck?!
Tom Wamsgans: Thank you, Logan.
Logan Roy: Tom?
Tom Wamsgans: Thank you for the chicken.
Logan Roy: What the fuck was that?
Shiv Roy: I I don't know. I think, uh it's getting to people, Dad. The tension.
Logan Roy: He ate my fucking chicken.
Logan Roy: The Incas in times of terrible crisis would sacrifice a child to the sun. I said to her they were a bunch of fucking savages.
Kendall Roy: Mm-hm.
Logan Roy: Her thing was what could you possibly kill that you love so much it would make the sun rise again? She said that.
Kendall Roy: Guys, you're off the hook.
Karl: And is it just I don't want to be rude...Just him?
Roman Roy: Uh Yeah, are there any additionals First Second-born son with your responsibilities, it will be a very simple sell.
Logan Roy: Roman you're taking over as full chief operating officer.
Roman Roy: Oh, yeah? What with fucking Captain Cautious back in the next room?
Logan Roy: No, no. Frank's gonna be responsible for the cruises clean up. You're on your own. Solo. Can you handle it?
Roman Roy: Well, yeah. Yeah, Dad, that's..g really exciting.
Kendall Roy: No, Rome. It's great. Okay, guys, eat up. This one's on me.
