The Post is a tabloid newspaper active in the United Kingdom.
Information[]
The paper is owned by Furness Media Groups, the media conglomerate owned by Sandy Furness and funded in part by Stewy Hosseini's Maesbury Capital. A tabloid competitor to the newspaper in the UK is The London Journal, owned by Waystar Royco.
Season 2[]
Return[]
When Logan Roy travels to London with Kendall and Roman with the aim of convincing his ex-wife Caroline Collingwood to back him in the ongoing hostile takeover, The Post publishes a story regarding the death of Andrew Dodds. Dodds was the waiter who died at Eastnor Castle after Siobhan Roy's wedding when his car swerved into a river. Due to a cover-up by the Roy family, Kendall's presence in the vehicle is unknown to the paper, with it instead alleging that Dodds was "bullied to death" after Logan shouted and humiliated him publicly during the reception.[1]
It is suggested by Gerri Kellman and Karolina Novotney that Dodds parents may travel stateside to tell their story, suggesting that Logan issue an apology without admitting guilt. This is backed by Hugo Baker, who states they can use it against Sandy Furness and present him as taking advantage of Dodd's death to try and strike at Logan during the takeover bid.
Trivia[]
- The design and layout of The Post is very similar to the real life British tabloid The Sun.
- It is one of two fictional British newspapers appearing in the show, alongside The London Journal.
