Sandy Furness is the owner of Furness Media Groups. He is portrayed by Larry Pine.

History[]

Season 1[]

Following Logan's stroke and Kendall's promotion, Kendall meets privately with competitor Sandy Furness, who offers him any advise if needed.[1]

While at Tom's bachelor party, Kendall runs into Stewy, an old friend who works for Sandy. Stewy mentions Sandy, who is willing to buy Kendall's portion of the company for $500 million; Kendall is interested but only if he can meet Sandy personally. Meanwhile, Roman searches for Sandy himself, revealing his true intention of coming to the party. He eventually finds him and offers him a proposition. Sandy agrees but after Roman leaves, tells Stewy only to yank his chain for a while before dropping him.

Kendall later approaches Sandy and forms an agreement with him that together they can undermine his father's company for a takeover.[2]

Kendall is informed by Stewy and Sandy Furness that the hostile takeover will now take place tomorrow during the wedding, as it's the perfect time with Logan away. Kendall begs them to reconsider and says they do not have enough time to prepare. Though unsaid, he likely doesn't want to ruin his sister's wedding.[3]

Season 2[]

Kendall then sits down with his father and Karl. Logan wishes to know what information the rival team has and how they plan to use it. Kendall admits that he told Stewy and Sandy of his father's medications and more personal incidences, such as his father peeing on the floor and over-pouring his coffee.

The family is back together for dinner, but Logan leaves with Kendall to go from the Hamptons back to New York. They have a meeting with Stewy and Sandy, but Logan abandons the meeting and leaves Kendall in charge. Kendall asks if there's any way the two sides could come together, but they decline. Kendall tells them that his father will bury them and ruin their lives if they do not go through with their plans.[4]

While at a company conference, Logan spots Sandy Furness across the room and uses Tom and Greg as cover, avoiding having to talk to Sandy.[5]

While in London and arranging meetings with shareholders, an article about Andrew Dodds is released in the paper. Obvious propaganda created by Stewy and Sandy, it alleges that Logan bullied the kid to death.[6]
