Succession is an American satirical comedy-drama television series created by Jesse Armstrong. It premiered on June 3, 2018 on HBO, with the finale airing on May 28, 2023. Among its star-studded cast are Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, and Hiam Abbass.
The series follows Logan Roy, founder and CEO of global media conglomerate Waystar Royco, and his dysfunctional family as they vie for company control amid uncertainty about the aging patriarch's health. As heir-apparent Kendall, Logan's second-eldest son, attempts to solidify his eventual takeover, he and his siblings face difficult choices as hunger for power and family loyalties collide. Though the future seems increasingly uncertain, it is the past that threatens to ultimately destroy them.
