Bill is retiring from a long and successful tenure at the Cruises division of Waystar. Tom Wambsgans, his successor, is excited to receive the role until Bill takes him to one side and informs him of a coverup of rape and sexual assault perpetuated by Lester McClintock. The information Bill gave Tom confirmed that their company knew what was happening and did the bare minimum to fix the problems. [1]

Bill arrived to meet The Roy Family at their congressional hearing. The Roys plan on sacrificing Bill to Congress by pinning the blame for the cover-up on him. After they win the case thanks to Shiv Roy convincing the witness to back down, Bill casually reminds Logan Roy he knows so much about the company, Waystar Royco he could write a book if he ever needed to.
